Forestry Journal – Scope

Central European Forestry Journal (published as Lesnícky časopis – Forestry Journal until 2016) publishes novel science originating from research in forestry and related fields. The quarterly peer-reviewed Journal is jointly published by the National Forest Centre – Forest Research Institute in Zvolen, Slovakia and by the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, the Czech Republic. The Journal collaborates with the SCIENDO (De Gruyter Open) publisher based on the Journal Publishing Agreement. It publishes papers in the English language.

Aims and scope: The Journal focuses on forestry issues relevant to the European area, mainly to the region of Central Europe. It publishes original papers and review papers of basic and applied research. The scope of the Journal includes silviculture, forest protection, forest management, forest monitoring, forest ecology including production ecology, bioclimatology, forestry economics, forest harvesting technologies, forest constructions and machinery, dendrology, forest genetics, hunting, forest entomology, use of trees in landscaping, relationships between forestry and wood-processing industry etc.

Indexing of journal: The Journal is indexed in AGRICOLA, AGRIS, CABI – CAB Abstracts, Celdes, CNKI Scholar (China National Knowledge Infrastucture), CNPIEC, DOAJ, EBSCO Discovery Service, Elsevier – SCOPUS, ESCI, Google Scholar, J-Gate, Naviga (Softweco), Primo Central (ExLibris), Summon (Serials Solutions/ProQuest), TDOne (TDNet), WorldCat (OCLC) AGRIS/FAO Database, Web of Science.

Open access and copyright policy: The Journal publishes in an open access model. It provides immediate open access to its content under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 license. Plagiarism policy: The editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System’s users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.

Archiving policy: The Journal via Sciendo archives the contents of this journal in Portico – digital long-term preservation service of scholarly books, journals and collections.

ACP Policy: The Journal does not have article processing charges (APCs) nor article submission charges.
